STOP WORKING, START DRINKING!!!
Oatside is an “offshore fishing” project for our Singapore clients. Working remotely is not a big deal! But what makes it challenging is the product delayed shipment. The milk coundn’t make it on time on the shooting day. So we decided to use mockups and 3D render technology to re-build all the packaging and the milk. For a visual branding project like this, everything must harmonize with brand character, follow branding and show the USPs. The shape of nut milks are much thicker and nutritious than others. To keep this feature, we put such great effort in post-production. Let’s take a look!
Sort of, the weirder, quirkier the ideas are, the faster they would be approved. Scanning the brand’s social media, you will immediately feel the spirit of this nut milk brand: Naughty, energetic and a little mischievous. Oatside needs to showcase the irresistible deliciousness of the rich, nutritious milk texture and an authentic "quirky" spirit of Oatside.
A Visual Branding images must conveys all these intentions. We did not randomly placed the milk box inside the mousetrap, just to show the milk is “too hot to handle”. Our creative ideas were inspired by the super funny pranks and chases in our childhood Tom and Jerry. To express the energetic spirit, each movement of our hand talent must look strong. The backgrounds and props stricly follows Oatside's branding colors.
This project’s post production is quite challenging for our retoucher due to the milk delivery issues. “Wow! The difficulty is doubled. No jokes but if I can't do it, the whole team will put me in the milk bath” - Retoucher confessed. We have to find the milk box in same size with Oatside to replicate the packaging. Also, to have enough milk data from all angles for the retoucher, the team did everything from splashing to spilling milk on the floor. It's fun and overwhelming at the same time.
